Which data do we process? And for what purpose?
We process the data you provided in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or other open positions within our companies, if applicable).
What is the legal basis?
The legal basis for the processing of your personal information during the application procedure is primarily Section 26 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act) in the version applicable as of 25.05.2018. This provision allows for the processing of personal information in connection with establishing an employment relationship.
Any processing of your personal information that may be required in connection with legal proceedings after the application process is concluded is permissible according to the requirements of Art. 6 DSGVO, in particular to safeguard any legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f) DSGVO. Our interest is then based on the assertion or defense of claims.
How long is the personal information stored?
An applicant´s personal information is deleted after six months in the event that an application for employment is rejected. In the event that you have agreed to further storage of your personal information, we will transfer your data to our applicant pool. There, the data will be deleted after two years.
If you are awarded a position during the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our HR information system.
Who receives your personal information?
Your personal information is processed and stored exclusively at our company.
Your personal information will be viewed by the HR department after receipt of your application. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the department managers for the respective open position. In the final step, only those persons in the company who require your personal information for the application process will have access to the data.
How will the data be processed?
The data is processed exclusively in data centers in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Your rights as a data subject
As a data subject you have the right to the personal information we process about you.
Should we received a request for information that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may then require proof of identification from you to verify that you are the person you claim to be.
Furthermore, you have a right to rectification or deletion or to the restriction of the processing of your personal information, insofar as you are entitled to this by law.
Furthermore, you have a right to object to the processing of the data within the scope of the law. The same applies to a right to data portability.
